What is Taylored 5-Minute Learning?

Taylored 5-Minute Learning is a record of the quick, easy, educational mini lessons and learning activities I've done with my own kids that focus on teaching key skills using just 5-10 minutes a day.

These educational activities are tailored to your child's current developmental level because of the flexibility to move on at your child's pace: move onto the next step when your child is ready and has mastered the current material, not because of a curriculum schedule or forced time requirement.

Dedicating about 5 minutes a day can be really effective at helping a toddler learn a skill without cutting into their play time. With just 5-minute-a-day activities that you can do with your child at home, even:

2-year-old's count to 100,
3-year-old's read,
4-year-old's do fractions,
and so much more!

What is the Taylored 5-Minute  Learning method?

Almost all of the mini lessons I've created for my kids, which we call fun "activities", are inspired by the Taylored 5-Minute Learning method

The core of the Taylored 5-Minute Learning method is to help a toddler repeatedly practice small parts of a skill in about 5 minutes a day, moving onto the next step only when they're ready, until the whole skill is mastered. This method is tailored to their current developmental level, fits their small attention span and doesn't sacrifice their play time while still being effective.

Why is Taylored 5-Minute Learning different from other toddler activities?

A lot of toddler resources are about making crafts and games rather than being academically focused, and I was interested in introducing my toddlers to more academic concepts through quick and easy mini lessons and learning activities.

It goes without saying that play is one of the best ways for toddlers to learn, so I didn't want to cut into my toddler's playtime, but I was still interested in finding ways to give my kids get a head start for school.

How can I do these Taylored 5-minute mini lessons with my own kids?

I've shared how I taught my toddlers various different concepts, either through a 5-10 minute mini lesson I designed using educational toys/materials, or through a 5-10 minute learning program that I found to be very effective.

Hopefully this site can be a resource for you that I wish I had when looking for educational, effective, easy, and fast learning activities or mini lessons for my toddlers.
